Problems When Booting


Ok. When I boot up and my iomega zip drive (external) is plugged in i get lmd_partition_variable : readdisk failed but it boots fine..... so when i boot up linux i just leave it unplugged and plug it in cuz no idea how to fix it. Also I set up my scanner and it works in Linux (dosent work in windows). and when I also boot it when it is plugged in it takes an hour to boot up linux while it "Checks Hardware" any idea whay and how to speed this up or fix it?

Wow! That's the only scanner of it's sort in the world then!

Are your zip and scanner USB?

Sounds like a config problem - timeouts set way too high or summink...
