Problems setting up wireless usb adapter


I am having a problem setting up my belking usb adapter on Ubuntu.
I have been using the following how to -

The problem I am having is when I enter -
Code:
sudo ifconfig rausb0 inet up
I get the following error message -
Code:
rausb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
Does anyone know what the problem could be or have any idea how to solve it?

No one got any idea at all? Id really appreciate any help on this cause im stuck using XP till I get my wireless adapter installed
