Problems setting up MP3 player

Hey everyone,

I just recently purchased a new MP3 player. It's an iRiver IFP-780. When I look under what hardware it recognzied it see's it as an unknown device

After searching the internet I found this site. http://ifp-driver.sourceforge.net/. It gives me a driver to download and says to type "make" and then put it in the /usr/bin folder

The only problem is that the file it gives you to download is called 'iriverfs-r0.1.0.0stable.patch'. Then I try to make the file it says that nothing can be done on the file

I'm not sure how to apply this file, but it seems to me that this may be the wrong file. Does anyone know anything about this or how to get this working. I would also appreciate if anyone knows another way to get this working without it.

Thanks

Never mind guys,

I was able to figure it out on my own. I guess little patience goes a long way... especially when you have to wait for it
