Angry Problems mounting digicam kodak dx6340


i'm using debian sarge testing with linux 2.6.6 kernel.
i have problems mounting my kodak dx6340 digicam.
i allways get :

my usb card reader is working well with this fstab entry:

but i dont know how to get the camera working.

I could never get my easyshare camera to work. I tried all sorts of things, and it just wouldn't cooperate. I've just resorted to taking the memory card out and pluggin it into the card reader, and going from there. The result of this of course is not saving any pictures on the camera, but only on the card. Sorry, that's not offering much help. It's frustrating because the computer sees it, but I never figure out how to get them to interact.

i cant imagine that its impossible to mount the cam.there must be a solution.
i am using the cam like you described, saving pics only to the memory card but i have saved some pictures to the internal memory too, and i don't want to loose them.

I know the kernel supports some kodak cameras. What if you were to recompile your kernel with those modules. I'm not sure if it's for the dx models or not, but it's worth a try.
