I'm not sure there's much more I can recommend. You could try a different version of the drivers, I guess.

I concur. Some drivers seem to work with specific kernels better. What kernel version are you using?

I'm using kernel version 3.1.0.1 at the present time.
I took the card over to the neighbours house tonight and tested it on his Ubuntu machine, so at least I know that the card works. However I was thinking that another problem could be with the motherboard, is there any way I can test out the motherboard to see if the AGP slot is working? It annoys me that I've been messing with this since Sunday and I get it working on his PC in under 5 minutes. |
AGP can definitely be picky. Perhaps try dropping the AGP speed setting in the BIOS?
EDIT: Also, check to see if his power supply is more powerful than yours. That could definitely cause problems. |

Definitely not a power issue, my power supply is 750w his is 200w. I've done a wee bit more reading overnight and it seems that my motherboard isn't the best lover of ATI AGP cards, I have an ASRock AM2NF3-VSTA ATX |
