LinuxQuestions.org - Problems getting nvidia installed

Hi,
I'm experiencing problems when I try to load the binary nvidia kernel module. I'm running Debian Sid using a custom vanilla kernel. Before reinstallig I had no problems with it so far.

When I try to load the Nvidia module 1.0-6629 I get the following error

Code:

# modprobe nvidia

FATAL: Error inserting nvidia (/lib/modules/2.6.9n/kernel/drivers/video/nvidia.ko): No such device

However the card is present

# lspci | grep "VGA"

Any ideas?
