HI y'all !

Im having trouble with xawtv.

I have a miro DC10 plus and the modules are well loaded:
*zr36067
*i2c-old
*videodev

but when I run xawtv I get this error:
can't open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l2: open /dev/video0: No such device
v4l: open /dev/video0: No such device
no video grabber device available

When I first got the error I tried to run:
cd /dev
mknod video0 c 81 0
ln -s video0 video
But the device already existed.

WEIRD !!!!!!!!!! ><

Any ideas ?

The error messages that you are getting is due to the modules are not loaded.

Make sure you have videodev.o and your Mirco DC10 modules are in /lib/modules/2.4.xx/kernel/drivers/media/video (xx being the latest version of the kernel that you are running)

At the console type "insmod /lib/modules/2.4.xx/kernel/drivers/media/videodev.o and enter.

Do this to the other modules that go to the device.

It should work
