lsmod shows both hermes and orinoco_cs but
both iwconfig and ifup eth1 fails
output of ifup eth1 is
orinoco_cs device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

service pcmcia restart and other commands fails.
Any help will be greatly apprecited?
What am I missing?

First the orinoco_cs model does not take the essid parameter which I learned after googling. Next, my mistake was not using yenta_socket module which immediately solved the problem.
