this is a tough one... do you have knoppix installed on the hard drive? There was some trouble with some 2.6.* kernels with usb support. Been resolved, but a kernel upgrade is needed.

yes i have it installed on HD. Sorry for my english by the way. the kernel is 2.6 efectively. But there is no way that my usb to be recognize. It say to me in the starup that mount proc/ /usb does not exist. What is strange is that on the LiveCd it works perfectly.

you may have to goto the knoppix website here because it is not a distro that is often hard installed.

Some tips: make sure that hotplugging services are running, that usb support is running and that the usb host controllers are up to date. I suspect that the former is the case.
