I just tossed the drive that was clicking and popping. The new one is mounted and working just fine. Thanks for all the assistance.


I honestly didn't think that the age of the hardware was really an issue because it was running 6.06 on it just fine for years. I composed the first message at work, when the laptop was at home. Next time I'll be sure to gather more information.
