Unhappy Problem with sound on KDE


Hello , I am new to linux , I have installed linux mandrake 9.0 on a compaq presario 2100 laptop, every seems to work fine , but I have a problem with the sound , I am using KDE and mp3's works fine , but when I minimize or I maximize a windows or I move the bar the sounds make a weird noise or it skips part of the song, I don't know how to fix it , hope you can help me. the problem only happens with kde cause if I use gnome I have no problem with the sound.
