problem with sound. need help.
 

fedora core -6.
the first boot the system has installed my sound.
Model - 82801G (ICH7 family) High Definition Audio Controller.
Module - snd-hda-intel
PCM device - AD198x Analog.
sometimes i can hear the sound and sometimes no. i tryed to check
sound card detection - everything ok. and its strange. after boot sometimes sound works and sometimes not. i tryed to check every option on sound but no success.
its just works when it wants
any suggestion ? what can be a reason ?

hi. i tryed to follow the procedure. its say
to build the kernel. ok. i go to
digitalhermit.com/linux/Kernel-Build-HOWTO.html
its say - download from here:
kernel.org/mirrors -
i download this file : linux-2.6.18.tar.bz2
and extracted him. its ok ?
now, wats next? its directory with a lot of files.
i feel complitely lost. how i can
compile/build all this?
please, help me. :confused:
