Problem with sound card..

I tried to install the alsa driver to have my dell make some noise.I use RHEL 4, the alsa driver asks for "The file /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h does not exist.
Please install the package with full kernel sources for your distribution
or use --with-kernel=dir option to specify another directory with kernel
sources (default is /usr/src/linux).
"
Any ideas what I should do?

Thanks a lot.. I'm new to linux..

Never used RHEL yet but if like the rest of the Redhat and Redhat clones then it more than likely does not have the kernel source installed. You need to install the rpm that matches the kernel version. It would be called something like ' kernel-devel-******.rpm '. To see if you have use the command to see what rpms are installed matching kernel. ' rpm -qa | grep kernel '. If no kernel-devel that matches the current running kernel then check the install CDs for it or at Redhat.
