Problem with my APM

Hi,
I'm having trouble with my APM. My computer only loads like 1 time on 20 or more, so I try to not shut it down but I'm getting tired of that. I think it loads sometimes because the voltage ( or whatever apm depends on) is always under the "pass line" but sometimes, but sometimes is reaching it slightly so I can boot. What is the problem?

P.S. The line when my computer freeze looks like the following.:
apm: Bios Version 1.2 Flag 0x03 (Drivers version 1.16)

Have you tried to chage the APM settings on Bios Setup ?

I've tried to disable it but without any results...

I really don't know what is happening, but if I were you I would try to update the mainboard's bios or/and use a live CD, like Knoppix, DemoLinux and others, to see if it's a problem related with the kernel that came into RedHat.
