Problem with modversions.h

Hi there,

I am trying to compile my DSL modem (sagem) with my SuSE Pro 9.1. I've
downloaded the drivers, followed their explanations, but it comes to the
point, still in the first steps, when it gives the error "linux/modversion.h
file not found", and some others I think as a consequence of this.

I've read that this file is not required for kernel 2.6.x any more, but I
still need the file for the modem. I tried to create it with "Make dep", but
since this command is not required any more for this kernel, it does nothing. I also tried by creating a dummy file (touch modver....), but it did not succeed. Lastly, I tried to create it with "make update-modverfile", but I don't have the rules to create it or anything
related to the update-modverfile file (in Rules.make).

Do you know a workaround to create the modversion.h ?

If this is not the adecuate forum, apologies, and please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
