it must sndconfig. i don't have access to a mandrake system right now (in fact i'm at work using wayndoze
).
try to run this command from a terminal window:
lspci
(u can log in as a normal user and then 'su -' to become root and then run the above command).
using that command, you can determine if the card is recognize by your system. if yes, you can go to your desktop and look for the hardware config tool (or any soundcard detection program). mandraker offers a friendlier approach compared to other disros so u won't have a hard time figuring it out.
take time to browse the submenus in your gui desktop.
