Problem with dvd,cd drives (media)

These are the errors I have been getting seems to have started after an install of a usb dvd burner.

An error occurred while loading drives:/cdrecorder.desktop:
The file or folder /media/cdrecorder does not exist.

An error occurred while loading drives:/cdrom.desktop:
The file or folder /media/cdrom does not exist.

An error occurred while loading drives:/dvd.desktop:
The file or folder /media/dvd does not exist.

I checked the fstab and mtab settings and the look correct

fstab

/dev/hda2 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
/dev/hda4 /MUSIC xfs defaults 1 2
/dev/hda3 /home reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2
/dev/hda1 swap swap pri=42 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
/dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/cdrom /media/cdrom subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder2 /media/cdrecorder2 subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/ /media/ subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0

Mtab

/dev/hda2 / reiserfs rw,acl,user_xattr 0 0
proc /proc proc rw 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs rw 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts rw,mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
/dev/hda4 /MUSIC xfs rw 0 0
/dev/hda3 /home reiserfs rw,acl,user_xattr 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/dvd subfs ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/hdc /media/cdrom subfs ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev/cdrecorder2 /media/cdrecorder2 subfs ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8 0 0
/dev /media subfs ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8 0 0
none /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc binfmt_misc rw 0 0

This is what I did to try and fix it

Ok I went to the bios and disabled both the cd drive and the cd burner drive and removed both in yast re-booted and of course they did not show up, so I go back to the bios and put them back and back in yast and reboot.

I am curious so I watch the boot log and see the following which is from the boot log and system log.

/dev/hda4 on /MUSIC type xfs (rw)
/dev/hda3 on /home type reiserfs (rw,acl,user_xattr)
/dev/cdrecorder2 on /media/cdrecorder2 type subfs (ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8)
/dev on /media type subfs (ro,nosuid,nodev,fs=cdfss,procuid,iocharset=utf8)

Are you sure that /media/cdrom, /media/dvd, and /media/cdrecorder2 exists. Removable mediums like CD-ROM, DVD, and floppy should have the noauto option.

Also what does dmesg list.
