Problem with: Conexant AccessRunner PCI ADSL

Hello everyone, I'm trying to setup my debian-server to act as a modem/router/firewall for the rest of my network. I have a pci adsl-modem which i can't get to work. I followed the instructions here:, but when i try to start the modem i get this:

debian:~# /etc/init.d/cnxadslctl start
Starting AccessRunner
Download Starting.
download is already done, Status=ffffffff
bad ioctl=400c2505 (TIG_START_DSL), Status=ffffffff
