problem with cd-rw


Hi i'm new to all this, i have pluged in my USB cd-rw drive and i can read data from it, but when i try to write data to it, it comes up with this message....

can not copy the following objects to folder..

most likley cause is you dont have write permissions.
and the drive on my file system shows up at cd rom...
any help will be greatly appresiated.

linux does not have built in drag and drop writing capabilities like windows.
k3b is one of the better GUI applications. However, it is just the frontend for the command line applications (cdrecord, mkisofs etc) that actually do the file processing and writing to disk.
