Problem with booting of Red Hat Linux 9

Hi i am very new to linux.

I had a system in which RedHat Linux 9 was installed & working fine. But due to some problem with the hardware of the old system I had to change the system. I removed my old hard disk with the linux installation and pluged it to the new system.

Now when I try booting my machine, I am not able to do so. After switching on the machine I get the GURB screen, but after that it reboots and this keeps on happening.

Can some one help me plz............................

Thanks in advance

First u boot linux in rescue mode.......

Modifying, Your GRUB Boot Loader

In a text editor, edit /etc/grub.conf.
Look for the following section in the file. Note that you may see a different kernel instead of the 2.4.20-8 kernel shown below.
title Red Hat Linux (2.4.20-8)
root (hd0,0)
kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-8 ro root=LABEL=/
initrd ....
At the end of the kernel /vmlinuz-2.4.20-8 ro root=LABEL=/ line, add nosysinfo.
Save and close the file. You can now boot the guest.
Restart the guest operating system.
