problem while reading characters from USB serial devices?

hi all,

i couldn't able to read characters beyond 4096 from the usb serial device connected to the /ttyUSB0. Actually what ever the character written to the device are pushed to the user space but i couldn't able to receive characters beyond 4096 in the read buffer while reading characters using read().
