problem restoring grub redhat 8

I'm having some problems restoring grub. The main thing is that whenever I try booting the computer with the redhat installatino disk, it freezes right after it starts anaconda.

My system:
AMD XP 2400 GHz
Dual booting Windows Home XP/Redhat 8
512 MB RAM

I remember I had problems installing redhat on my computer. I had to use noapm or noapci switch when I tried installing. To make things a bit more complicated, it seems that redhat 8 does not detect or recognize the logitech cordless duo (mouse + keyboard) that I recently bought.

If anyone can shed some light, I'd be grateful.
