possible solution

hello

it seems to be you are using unpatched kernel...!

if you applied the methods described here ,it means you created a custom kernel and img. I mean when you boot your pc pick the 2.x.xcustom linux kernel from bootloader... I hope this solve your problem. However there can be a fatal error about connecting to sokets later, to solve that u must build neccassary rpm packages---->

"which are:
-* libpcap-0.8.3.tar.gz
- linux-atm-2.4.1.tar.gz
- ppp-2.4.2.tar.gz
- PPPoATM and PPPoE cumulative patch for ppp-2.4.2"

from here http://www.zullinux.it/linux/accessrunner.html .But be warn the results are unstable and it could effect ur windows connection also...

I am planning to use mandriva 10.1 as soon as possible. Because it supports somehow better...
