Problem mounting Sony Ericsson W850i through USB Data Cable
I Have a Sony Ericcson W850i Mobile and USB Data Cable supplied with the phone. when i connect the phone to usb port the phone gets detected as usb network adapter as it does in windows as wireless ethernet emulation. scanning usb displays the phone is connected in usb bus 002. if i try to connect through K-mobile tools it gives a error unable to mount device /dev/ttyusb0. pls tell me how to mount my phone to read and sync contacts and messages from my phone.

i also have a w850i. but i access it via bluetooth using my laptop with kubuntu LTS. i only transfer pictures, music files and address book (which is pretty cool btw).
can't help you with the USB part as i have no plans of using it.
