Problem Mounting Floppy

As I use the university's computers, I dont have root access. So I have a problem mounting a floppy.

The problem is that there is no /mnt/floppy drive on the computer. So when I try 'mount /dev/fd0' it returns an error saying this directory doesn't exist. But how can I mount the device to some other directory without editing any files (as i don't have root access)?

nope. go ask your sysadmin to fix it or maybe it's just using a different location, you should be able to cat /etc/fstab fine and see if that shows useful stuff. but non root usders can only mount devices with entires therein.
