Problem mounting ext3 filesystem on 2nd Hard Disk
Hey everybody-
I got a 2nd hard drive (40 gig Maxtor). I booted up Windows, and used Acronis PartitionExpert to partition the drive in 1/2 (1/2 NTFS; 1/2 ext3). Then I rebooted, loaded Fedora Core (off the 1st HD), and tried to mount the new ext3 drive (hdb5) and it wont work. The hdb5 is part of hdb2, which is extended. Here's a printout: root@localhost root]# mount -t ext3 /dev/hdb5 /storage mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hdb5, or too many mounted file systems Anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance |
What utility did you use to create the ext3 filesystem?

I used Acronis PartitionExpert to partition and format it to ext3. I know its not a problem with PartitionExpert becuase it's also what I used to create hte ext3, boot, and linux swap on my primary hard disk.
