I use debian Sarge, kernel 2.4.27.
I can mount CDs using "mount /cdrom" or by mounting /dev/hda which is my cd drive.
but when i insert an empty DVD-R and try to mount it i get-
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda,
missing codepage or other error
(could this be the IDE device where you in fact use
ide-scsi so that sr0 or sda or so is needed?)
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
my fstab is-
