Problem installing USB printer PSC-2175

I recently switched from Windows XP to Linux (Suse 9.1).
it went rather smoothly although my HP printer (PSC 2175) is still not working.
It is an USB printer that works fine under Windows.

I installed the printer with CUPS localhost:631 and that seems to be okay.
Only when I try to print something (e.g. a testpage) then I get the following message:
Paused: Unable to open USB device "usb:/dev/usb/lp0": No such device

I have the feeling something is wrong with the USB-device but I don't know how to solve it.

Is there anybody how can help me on level.

Thanks in advance, Henk.
