You can't mount an audio CD because they lack a valid file system. If you open a CD player app (eg, KsCD) do the tracks appear?

Question.. can any other audio files be "heard" when they are played other than from the cdrom? i.e a mp3 etc from the web or hard-drive?

hence can you hear any sound at all coming trough you're speakers when trying to play any audio files?
