i have a
Nvidia HD sound card with the supplied microphone that i know works,
im trying to get the microphone to input into programmes like skype...
ive had this working before on suse 10.3 and kubuntu 7.4 so i know its possable.
the microphone is conected to the mic input
i now use ubuntu 7.10 and am struggling

by unmuteing analoge mix i route mic to speakers but not into any apps
