problem conecting 2 hardisk with linux OS

When I connect 2 hardisk with linux OS I face problem while booting. It goes fine until it tries to open swap space while booting, after that kernel panics. Is there annything need to be done while connecting multiple hard disk. Help me out.

Can you give some additional information

What swap-related message do you get prior to the kernel panic?
how are your disks partitioned, mount points.

Did you change /etc/fstab to show the new configuration when you added the second disk?
