I have a problem with my printer. The printer is a Seikosha SP-2415 and I haven't found its driver in the list o printer drivers in RedHat 8.0. How could I fix this problem? Could someone give me an address to download the driver and how to install it (I am a beginner in Linux but I have experience in Windows and MS-DOS) or a compatible driver that is in the list of RedHat 8.0 printer drivers.

This is a 9 pin printer? Talk about old. You won't find any native driver's for it in Linux cause you are probably the only person left who is attempting to use it. Doing a google search on 'Linux Seikosha SP-2415' turned up few hits. Did come up with

' Emulations EPSON ® FX-1050 IBM® ProPrinter IIXL'

so, and I checked my cups install, you can set the DIP switches on your printer to emulate the EPSON above, and install, select EPSON type and use the driver

'EPSON 9-Pin Series CUPS v1.1 (en)' driver.

You should be good to go.
