Printer Printing Problem
I previously installed Linux Mandrake(Blue Bird) 8.2. All seem to
worked out well in the installation and configuration of the softwares and hardwares the system is using. The only difference I noticed with it compared with Linux Mandrake 7.1 (Helium) is that it couldn't properly detect my printer which is a CANON BJC 4200SP but unlike on the HELIUM it worked fine with the setting of CANON BJC 4000 Series. I tried to manually install the printer which was successful in detection. The problem is it doesn't print right. I had to use CUPS as the printing system. All it keeps on printing are a set of garbled characters. Can anyone help me out? Or might give me some suggestions? It will be greatly appreciated. |
you might try the bjc-600 driver, works for my bjc 4100.
