Printer installation

I toyed with Ubuntu 3 years ago, but gave up. I have recently installed Suse on an old laptop and find it ideal for mail and web surfing. However, I have to say I have no knowledge of Linux, and don't even understand the language (such as command lines etc). However, this machine automatically picked up my wireless router without me doing a thing, and now I would like to use a printer. With my original Ubuntu there was a list of compatible machines and I just clicked on and it was done. Can not find anything similar on Suse.
I would like to use any one of these. Epson 760, 890 or 925 printers. How do I go about it in non-technical, non-Linux-language please? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I also have a Canon Lide 200 scanner!)

Many thanks, but unfortunately I have not succeeded. It registered each printer in turn, but could not find a driver for any of them. On the other hand, it registered and located a driver for a Canon scanner without any problem. Do I have to give up hope of using any of these printers?

go to yast and check in your install/remove packages section (not sure what suse calls it anymore) and search for gutenprint make sure it's installed.

Go back to the printer setup and scroll down the list of drivers that will pop up. You'll want something close to your printer. IE... canon mx2100 might use the mx2000 driver...it may not be the exact number...but it will be close.

What I would recommend is googling: linux epson 925 printer and checking out some of the links..especially any that are other forum questions (shouldn't matter if you end up in an ubuntu or mandriva forum...it's the same program for printing)
