printer installation


I have this hp deskjet960c which is compatible with mandrake8.1.
the print was working fine and I reinstall the operating system, and now I try to configure the print and it says" rmmod: module parport_probe not load"
can anyone please help.

I got the same HP works flawlesly with Slackware 8.0 . I think you messed up with kernel . Because kernel need PARalel PORT module to recognize your printer. A good idea can be compiling a kernel with paralel port support or re-installing rpm kernel which should have that module already.
