Printer Epson LQ-300 Hangs in SW-14

After upgrading to Slackware-14 with cups-1.5.4 my Epson LQ-300 hangs after having printed one file and does not advance to a new page. For new printing I have to switch printer of and advance page manually.

This is as well the case with Slackware offsprings like Salix-14 and Slackel-14.

If I remove cups-1.5.4 and reinstall former version cups-1.4.6 the printer is working correctly.

In the latest versions of debian based distros like KNOPPIX or Crunchbag, Epson LQ-300 printer is printing with no problem with the cups version 1.5.4.

Therefore, my conclusion is that this problem has something to do with Slackware-14.

Hope it can be resolved.
