Print to File not working in SUSE 10.1

I am very new to Linux environment & I would appreciate any help on my problem. I am using Linux 10.1 version. When I try to print with the option "Print to File" it creates a blank out.ps file with the same no of pages as in the document I tried to print. But the same document gets printed on the printer correctly.

Is there any settings I need to do to make the "Print to File" option working correctly?

I think this is related to the application that you are trying to use to print to file. What application are you using? Have you tried to do the same thing with other applications? I know that Firefox can print to file very well. Give that a try. Maybe the problem is just that whatever application you are using just doesn't print to file correctly.

What you said is correct, it's an application problem, i tried with firefox printing n it worked well. will check out the appln now.
