primefilm 1800u usb scanner


SANE does not support this.
Anyone know where I can get a driver for this?

Send them another one, be polite but tell them that you will not only never buy one of their products again but you will be advising anyone who asks not to buy from them as well. Tell them that your doing this because of their attitude towards linux and that if you knew of this bias before you never would of bought the scanner. It's the only way they'll learn.

the scanner has been on the market for >2 years (maybe 3) and the SANE org. was looking at it over 2 years ago.
I guess it's coming to the end of its product lifetime because the price is low (about $100US) and it works OK under windoze, which I dual-boot.

That's a good suggestion - I will do it, but i don't expect it will get me a driver.
