ppc-6700 as CDMA modem

I currently use my Sprint PPC-6700 Windows Mobile 5 phone in a CDMA modem mode when traveling. I place the phone in the wireless modem mode, connect it via USB, it is seen by Windows as a CDMA modem and add a dial-up connection and I am off at high speeds. If I can do this I could finally be able to move to linux for a full time on my laptop.

Here are two links to get you started. I have not tried any of this, I use an aircard with my laptop. I have an xv6600 that I like quite well but I am looking forward to the 6800.

I thought of the vmware route as I use it quite a bit in my work.

The second link looks good!

Thanks so much.
