Poweredge 2400 and Ubuntu

I am new to Linux..... I am loading Ubuntu 5.1 Server on a Dell Poweredge 2400, 2x933mhz P3, Bios A09, Perc/2 flashed as well
I have prepared drives x2 in a raid 1 config and then tried to install Ubutu. All goes well until Ubutu looks for drives.
Useable partitions cannot be found.... this is where the process stops.
Any Ideas????

The drivers for the Dell raid controller are not built into the kernel in Ubuntu.

Use the Debian on Dell Servers iso to install, or choose one of the other resources from Dells Linux page..

enjoy !!
