power timeout

I have a Ubuntu 20.04.1 and I have set screen timeout to never on a Dell LCD however my screen times out every minute or two anyway. Is their another power setting I am not aware of? I do not think this happened under 20.04. Please advise Not sure where to post this question as it deals with several topics.

Screensaver or power manager?
My xfce4-power-manager has a "Presentation mode". Is that what you want?

No need to be sorry (what for?).
But - I was talking about the Power Manager's presentation mode.
Anyhow, were you ablet o make that timeout longer at least? One minute is a bit short.
It is possible that thing look a little different under GNOME, but I'm sure you will find it.

power timeout

I should have mentioned earlier that I am on a desktop PC. I have not seen this timeout since I was listening to music with VLC, is their another power setting in linux that only applies to certain applications?
