power suppliy
hi,
i replaced a dead power supply this morning but i noticed it had some sort of date on it(apr 2002) - its not an electrical safety test sticker, and ive never seen this before, im just wondering if anyone knows what this date is and if its a common thing with power supplies. its a mercury KOB AP4300X CE if that helps.

It's probably just a "manufactured on" date. The only people that probably care about that date are the ones at the manufacturers warehouse. On the other hand, the cynical person might wonder if it's not something like the dates on a carton of milk.
