I have no idea. I'm not a gamer or over-clocker, so have never saved or restored any BIOS "profile".

Pulling cmos battery and changing out new won't delete anything but changed settings. Screen will still come up.

Maybe you can fix the problem by cleaning the contacts on your power switch or perhaps buying a new power switch. I don't know what brand of hardware you are using on your home grown system. I looked up HP power switches on eBay and you can buy a HP power switch for between $6 and $45.
