post your glxgears output!

I am just a little curious how certain graphics cards and specific manufacturers stack up when it comes to linux support (and overall power). Therefore, I think it would be awesome if we could compile a list of how various graphics cards benchmark. So, if you have the time, post your card vendor, the model (including any overclocking and modifications), your GC driver version, your linux distro/kernel, and finally your "glxgears" output

For example,
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 256 MB, ICEBERG5 cooling system
ATI driver version 8.22.05 (from ATI website)
Slackware Linux (current) running kernel 2.6.15.4
glxgears output: 4900-5100 FPS on unladen system

Desktop :
Nvidia 6800gt 256mb pci-express
Nvidia 8178 driver
Slack 10.2 with 2.6.15.4
glxgears: 13804.6 FPS

Laptop (plugged in)
Ati Mobility 9000 32mb 4x agp
Ati driver 8.23.7
Slack 10.2 with 2.6.15.6
glxgears: 1345.8 FPS

Only 10X the difference

Though glxgears isn't really a benchmark.

Probably a dumb question but could you tell me how to see the fps? I run glxgears from a shell with the command glxgears but I don't see fps. Is there a parameter I need to add to the command?

Nothing special, just a little patience because it takes a fps reading every 5 seconds.
as such:
Quote:
keith@slack:~$ glxgears
56141 frames in 5.0 seconds = 11228.200 FPS
70306 frames in 5.0 seconds = 14061.200 FPS
70350 frames in 5.0 seconds = 14070.000 FPS
ps: this is my 6800gt with the new 8756 nvidia drivers and a new 2.6.16.2 kernel
