Sounds like mine

I have an AMD X2 4800+ CPU, Inno 8600GT graphic card, 2GB Corsair DDR2 6400 cl4 RAM, and a Gigabyte mother board. I and many others recommend Gigabyte for general quality and the use of components that closely adhere to stated standards and norms, thereby giving better results with linux than mother boards from some other producers.

That 4GB of RAM doesn't help your problem?

Probably you are right but it came with the bundle. I suppose a bit of overkill is no harm anyway, doubt the GeForce 8 512MB will do much either but I think its not bad for 150 euro
