plz.... i have problem.. Redhat8


i installl RedHat8 (kernel 2.4.18-14) and Qlogic Card (2200F) HBA

and i wanna control Spectra Machine (10000F) for Backup

Spectra10000F is consisted Sony AIT-3 (tape drive) and

Robotic Arm, it is connected Qlogic Card by Fibre Channel.

But , After Linux Server is reboot i can't see tape drive

it don't seen in "/proc/scsi/scsi"

Why...

From a command line try: 1)rmmod ide-tape (which is probably not loaded) 2)rmmod ide-scsi 3) modprobe ide-scsi . The tape should now show up as /dev/st0. If this works you will have to add these commands to your etc/rc.d/rc.local file to load the ide-scsi system on boot.
