Please help: my LCD monitor doesn't work with Linux

Hi all,

Today I bought a LCD monitor and connected it to my computer. But I was quite shocked that nothing comes out on the screen (my monitor says "NO SUPPORT") after booting.

It seems to me that Linux doesn't support this LCD monitor? Please help me.- I'm using Fedora 4 and my new monitor is MAC Vision (Model: LXL-540DM).

I am really a newbie starting to love Linux but I am about to lose my mind today.

Most likely your old monitor had a higher resolution or refresh rate that is now unsupported with your new one. Are you using VGA or DVI for the connection?
