please help get mic working (nforce2 hw)
 

I am using Ubuntu Gutsy,

I keep looking but find no solution. I can get playback sound but when I try to test any of the input for sound capture by going to System->Preferences->Sound I get

Failed to construct test pipeline for 'gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat'

my card is

$ asoundconf list
Names of available sound cards:
nForce2

please help. I have a video capture card and mythtv all setup, so i cant really use any of it because my capture card has to plug into the sound in on my pc. thanks
