Pinnacle DVC170 Analog Video capture device, how to use in Linux?
Linux 2.6.25.17
Does anyone know how I can use the Pinnacle DVC170 Analog Video capture device in Linux? It is a USB device that allows you to connect either an S video or analog video device to capture the video.
Is there a way in Linux that I can grab the video from it when I connect a video device and press "play" on the device so that it is streaming video to the device? I don't want to write a kernel module for it, as I just want to grab the video from the USB port...of course, I will need to find out how to grab the video and put it into the right format.
Has anyone been at work on writing a loadable kernel module for this device? I had this device sitting around, and thought that it would be great to get it to work in Linux. Of course, I could toss the device since it only runs in $$$ and get a capture card that runs in Linux.
Has anyone been able to get this device to work in Linux?
