Pentax Optio S and usb-storage
Has anybody managed to get the Pentax Optio S camera working under linux with usb-storage? I have found unusual_dev defenitions for the Optio 330 and 430, they don't seem to work with the S.
If not, could anybody clue me in on how to create unusual_dev sections from scratch?
Thanks,
Auridel

You're almost definately going to want to get directly in touch with the usb-storage driver maintainer directly, they can tell you how to get a reading of what dev its using and then in turn it can get added to the driver.

Aus,
A lot of digicams can direct interface as a usb-storage device, a ton of kodaks and a few fugis, there was a list linked off of gphoto, but I couldn't find it. There's a partial one here I just bumped into googling.

For posterity thought, it really is much easier to buy around the problem with a $8 USB Compact Flash adapter.

I'm more of a film fan myself, however I plan to aquire a new camera in the near future, I'm thinking of getting a pro level nikon or canon slr with interchangable film and digital backs. Digital for colour and film for B&W, I'll still be hand developing the B&W but I'm going to replace my B&W darkroom with a quality 35mm film scanner.
